Run for God-the 5K Challenge is a guide to running and a twelve-week training plan aimed at running a 5K, but with a Christian focus. This study introduces runners to the similarities between running and witnessing for Christ. The workout plans, discussion questions, and Bible verses make it both a practical resource and a workbook for individuals and groups, especially beginning runners. Participants are invited to register for the Jingle Bell Run at the Shops at Fallen Timbers in December.

Yvonne accepted Jesus as her personal savior 27 years ago while serving in the United States Navy. She is passionate about encouraging others in both their physical and spiritual health in order to help them "run with perseverance the race marked out for them". She ran her first race, The Chicago Marathon, at age 45 and continues to run half marathons and 5k’s through a program that matches runners with those who cannot run. Yvonne enjoys serving at FTCC in the Children’s Ministry and in the Youth Group as a youth sponsor. She has been married to Philip for 25 years and they have 4 children between the ages of 23 and 7.
